Raja Rani guide
King, Queen, Minister, Police, Thief: the classic chit game of bluffing and deduction.
How to play Raja Rani
- Pick Singleplayer to play with 2 to 4 bots, Pass & Play to share one device, or Online to play in a room or via Quick Play with 3 to 5 players. Choose how many rounds to play.
- Each round, every player secretly receives one role: King, Queen, Minister, Police or Thief.
- Only the Police is revealed to everyone; every other role, the King included, stays hidden until the accusation.
- The Police studies the table and accuses one player of being the Thief.
- Points are awarded at the end of each round, and the highest total after the last round wins.
Rules
- Role points: King 1000, Minister 800, Police 900, Queen 500, Thief 0.
- If the Police finds the Thief, every player scores their own role's points.
- If the Police guesses wrong, the Police's 900 points go to the Thief and the Police scores nothing.
- With 5 players all five roles are dealt; with 4 players there is no Queen; with 3 players only King, Police and Thief are used.
- Roles are reshuffled every round, so anyone can be the Thief next time.
Tips and strategy
- As the Thief, act exactly like you did last round: sudden silence or chatter is a giveaway.
- As the Police, watch who relaxes when you are revealed: with the King hidden, every face at the table is a suspect.
- Minister and Queen players can help the Police by talking, but the Thief can do the same to blend in.
- Keep an eye on the scoreboard: a Thief escape is a 900-point swing that can change the leader.
