Delete your data
Last updated:
You can delete your DD Games account and data at any time. Here is how, and exactly what happens.
Delete your account in Settings
- Sign in and open Settings.
- Scroll to Your data. If you want a copy first, choose Download my data.
- Choose Delete my account, then confirm with your password. If you only use Google, Discord or Microsoft to sign in, type DELETE instead.
Deletion happens straight away and can't be undone. You are signed out on every device.
What is removed
- Your email address, display name, @username (which becomes free for others), avatar, bio and password.
- The link to your Google, Discord or Microsoft account.
- All signed-in sessions, and any verification or password-reset links.
- Your friends list, friend requests and room invites.
- Your public profile. Your account can no longer be used and shows as "Deleted User" where it still appears.
What is kept, and for how long
Some records are kept, linked only to the deactivated account and no longer to your email or name:
- Game history and balances (match results, XP, Gems records, purchases, daily puzzle results and invite records), so other players' results, leaderboards and our anti-fraud checks stay correct.
- Moderation records (reports, moderation points and bans, with keyed hashes of IP address and device), as long as needed to enforce bans and protect players. Moderation events are deleted after 90 days.
- Global chat messages you posted, with the name you used at the time, until a moderator removes them or you ask us to (see below).
- Security logs for 365 days and error logs for 30 days, then deleted automatically.
- Anything we must keep to meet a legal obligation, for example to answer a lawful request from the authorities.
You can ask us to erase the remaining records too. We will do so unless the law requires or allows us to keep them (for example an active ban or a legal claim). See the Privacy Policy.
Can't sign in? Ask by email
Email privacy@duodev.in from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my data" and your @username if you know it. You can also ask us to remove past global chat messages or other remaining records.
We may ask you to confirm it's you, and we complete requests within 30 days (we acknowledge them within 24 hours). If you signed in only with Google, Discord or Microsoft and no longer have access to that email, tell us which provider you used.
Remove DD Games from Google, Discord or Microsoft
Deleting your account unlinks the provider on our side. To also remove DD Games from the provider's list of connected apps:
- Google: Google Account → Third-party apps & services, choose DD Games, then delete all connections.
- Discord: User Settings → Authorized Apps → DD Games → Deauthorize.
- Microsoft: Microsoft account → Apps and services you've given access, choose DD Games, then remove these permissions.
To keep your account but stop signing in with a provider, use Settings → Sign-in methods → Disconnect (you need another way to sign in).
Guests and browser data
Guests don't have an account; your guest name, scores, daily puzzle progress and settings are stored only in your browser. To remove them, clear this site's data in your browser settings (or uninstall the DD Games app if you installed it). See the Cookie Policy for what is stored.
