Dice Dash guide
Roll, move or hold: a push-your-luck dice race where the last cell is a bomb.
How to play Dice Dash
- Choose Singleplayer to face one to three bots, or Online to play with 2-4 friends.
- Pick a 4x4 or 5x5 board. Online, the host chooses before the first roll. The path snakes from cell 1 to the bomb on the last cell.
- On your turn tap the die. After you see the roll, either Move forward by that many cells or use a Hold to stay where you are.
- Land on or pass the bomb and you are eliminated. Everyone still in returns to cell 1 for a new lap.
- Keep dodging the bomb: the last player standing wins.
Rules
- All tokens start on cell 1 and players roll one die in seat order.
- Each player has 2 holds for the whole game. They are not refilled on a new lap.
- With no holds left you must move, so your token moves as soon as you roll.
- A move that reaches or overshoots the bomb cell eliminates that player; eliminated players are skipped.
- After every elimination the survivors restart on cell 1 and play continues with the next surviving player.
Tips and strategy
- Save your holds for the rolls that would blow you up: a hold on a safe roll is usually wasted.
- Count the steps to the bomb. Within six cells, any roll could be your last.
- Watch how many holds your rivals have left: a player with none is forced to walk into danger.
- Laps reset positions but not holds, so spending both holds early leaves you exposed for the rest of the game.
Questions
What happens if I roll more than I need to reach the bomb?
